Spock Confronts the Ultimate Challenge

If you've never read Batman: Year 100 you're really missing out. Writer and artist Paul Pope created a chillingly dystopic Gotham City. Not because of the crime or anything, but because his illustrative style was very jarring...almost like a bad dream (but in a good way). Not content with just writing Batman, Pope has teamed up with K/O and moved on to Spock of Star Trek fame, in his latest work When Worlds Collide: Spock Confronts the Ultimate Challenge. The webcomic is avvailable over at Wired and essentially sets up the backstory for the character in J.J. Abrams reboot of the Star Trek film series. The six pages follow Spock through a series of flashbacks while he's stranded on a moon in his later years. These flashbacks cause him to make a certain decision that will change the course of history (and know doubt give moviegoers some extra insight into the film). Check it out (for free).
