Star Trek (AWESOME movie by the way), but what about that other "star" based saga? George Lucas' retirement plan can't go unnoticed, so Dark Horse is releasing a new Star Wars series this July called
Star Wars Invasion. And Dark Horse has a sneak peek of a two part prequel available online for free.
The story is written by Tom Taylor and features art by Colin Wilson (colored by Wes Dzioba). It picks up shortly after the evens in the New Jedi Order novel Vector Prime. It is set twenty-five years after the Battle of Yavin, and the preview introductory story will establish four main characters, the Galfridian family of planet Artorias -- as they fight to defend themselves from the invasion of the Yuuzhan Vong. It's up to Luke and the New Jedi Order to stop the madness. And don't forget about Han and the Solo family, as they'll surely be involved somehow.
The first issue of the series debuts July 1. The second part of the introductory prequel will be available online June 5.
