Some pretty decent stuff coming out this week.
Batman: Gotham #1,
Executive Assistant Iris #1 and
Mice Templar Vol. 1 TPB, just to name a few. But the issue that I'm probably most excited for this week is about a familiar hero told from the perspective of a familiar editor. The hero is Spider-Man, the editor is J. Jonah Jameson and the book is
Ultimatum Spider-Man: Requiem #1.
Brian Michael Bendis is in pretty familiar territory with the first of two issues that look at the fallout in the Ultimate universe as a result of Spider-Man himself falling. Mark Bagley and Stuart Immonen and team up with Bendis on the artwork front, and the cover is pretty spiffy looking in weird watercolory way.
I think the biggest draw to this book is that the story is told from the perspective of J. Jonah Jameson. Rather, I should say, "ultimate" J. Jonah Jameson. Which means that we should expect a rather uneven tone throughout the book. Uneven in the sense that the story will most likely follow Jameson's moods, which are notoriously uneven.
Enjoy!
