Claudio Sanchez to sign Kill Audio preview book at Comic-Con '09

Claudio Sanchez has decided that he's had enough with Coheed and Cambria. It's not that he's retiring from that mythology or anything, but he's decided to create something new and slightly disturbing. Enter Kill Audio. And it'll be at Comic Con, along with Sanchez. The first issue doesn't ship until October from Boom! Studios, but Comic-Con attendees can get a first look at the preview. Sanchez will be at the Boom! Studios booth (#2543) signing copies of the Kill Audio Preview Book. Not only that, but fans will also have the opportunity to purchase a monotone variant of the Kill Audio vinyl figure (picture after the jump) that will only be available during signing times and is limited to 1200 pieces. The signings will take place from 4 PM to 5 PM on Friday and Saturday. The preview book will set you back $5, while the statues are a little more pricy at $40. $5 isn't bad at all considering you get a book written by Sanchez and Chondra Echert and with art by Mr. Sheldon and Kristian Donaldson...all of which could be signed by Sanchez himself if you're lucky (and extremely patient I would guess). Kill Audio follows an immortal little troll who wants to be creative but can't. In his world creativity is a controlled substance, but he learns that his new life mission is to change all that when creativity spirals into chaos. The book is full of eccentric characters and a focused nemesis, all set on the backdrop of non-sensical musical sub-genres and a vivid landscape. Kill Audio is so disturbing that even BOOM! Studios Editor-in-Chief Mark Waid thinks so. "This is disturbing work, and I mean that as a compliment," BOOM! Studios Editor-in-Chief Mark Waid said. "Anyone who's a fan of THE MAXX or of Robot Chicken should check this out." Full press release below.
