Meltdown Comics showcasing 100 Bullets: Last Shot

The Hero Initiative is a good thing because of what it does. Such a worthy cause is worthy of special events. Special events such as an event at Meltdown Comics that is actually a farewell party for 100 Bullets. The party will announce 100 Bullets: Last Shot at Meltdown Comics on July 11 at 7:30 PM. Here's the thing though: this party ain't cheap. Only 75 VIP tickets are available for $150 each, which gets you access to the event, food, an open bar, guaranteed seating for the Q&A, valet parking, 100 Bullets shot glass, commemorative T-shirt and more. There will also be 35 standing-room-only tickets available at $50 each, which gets you access to the food and bar. AND Brian Azzarello will be there. Azzarello is coming to LA from Chicago for the shindig, and apparently the goodbye will be in Chicago speakeasy style. That means there will be a pianist and torch singer while cocktails flow from custom-etched 100 Bullets shot glasses. There will also be a gallery of art from Dave Johnson and Eduardo Risso, some of which will be auctioned off for the Hero Initiative. There will also be a Q&A with the creators, which is always a fun plus. A gallery of art from Johnson and series artist Eduardo Risso will line the walls, with select pieces auctioned off to benefit Hero Initiative, the charity dedicated to helping older comic creators in medical or financial need.
