Defense with the BoomStick

Wow Monday just comes around to quick sometimes. I remember back before all this hell on earth happened about that 9 to 5 job sort of schedule that made you dread Monday morning. Well even with zombies roaming the earth it is still feels like a chore when Monday rolls around. Let me get to it since that is what ya'll are listening for. Hey everyone Brandon here with the news and tip of the week coming at ya. To start us off today let us see what sort of news has been brewing lately. According to my contact in the Northeast they're soon to open up Nantucket Island for refugees to arrive at.

They are just starting with this area and since it's an island it will be a more controlled environment. When a person gets screened and approved they will be ferried to the main land. I haven’t heard when they are planning on starting this program but when I hear you will as well. For those stuck out in the Midwest and West Coast side not too much going on. I did hear that a group of fighters landed at the end of the Baja Peninsula and are working to clear that area and move up. Be on the lookout for them if you are traveling in that area. Now onto the tip of the week.

Today I am going to talk about knowing when a situation is so dangerous and unwinnable that you have to make a run for it. Everyone living and fighting today has had that feeling or situation where they are under siege or out of supplies and has hit the point of no return and have to bail out. Now this can be smart and bad at the same time as you are lot more vulnerable out on the road then behind walls. Yet you might find better pastures to make your home or make a stand then where you were. If you do decide to make a run for fit then make sure you are properly prepared for a journey and if possible know where you are going. You don’t want to just hop into a vehicle and head off somewhere without direction as you could end up out of gas surrounded and that is not good for anyone.

Sometimes holding out just a little bit longer might be the smarter call for your survival; it all depends on what's causing your dilemma. Is it bandits, a horde of zombies or lack of supplies? Some issues can be fixed with holding out or going on a recon mission looking for supplies or killing every zombie you can. These are some of the toughest calls you have to make while trying to survive in this zombie world. Always plan and have a way of escape and know where you are going to help improve your survival. That's it for today. Time for me to do some more planning and coordinating myself. Until next week this is Brandon signing off.
