Haunt #1 hits stores this week

When Todd McFarlane and Robert Kirkman get together only good things can come as a result. October 7 is the culmination of their latest joint endeavor in the release of Haunt, and McFarlane is ecstatic about the chance to create something new. “One of the more satisfying parts of being an artist is giving birth to these creative children. After spending enough years raising and honing Spawn, Robert nudged me to try a hand at giving birth again. The outcome, combined with Robert’s writing abilities, as well as the art skills of Ottley and Capullo, I’m extremely proud of," McFarlane said. The story focuses on brothers Kurt and Daniel Kilgore who aren't really brotherly. Kurt is a secret agent and Daniel is a priest who's lacking in the holy department until Kurt passes. He doesn't completely pass however, as his ghost meres with Daniel's body creating Haunt. Kirkman gushed about McFarlane as well as the other collaborators. Kirkman added, “McFarlane, Capullo, Ottley, Plascencia, Starkings--you couldn't find a better team of collaborators. I couldn't be prouder of this book. This is definitely a high note in my career.” The book is only $2.99 and is the first of an ongoing series and hits stores October 7. Full press release below.
