New Arrivals: November 4, 2009

As the calendar turns, so do the days of our lives. Or something like that. Regardless, it's November, and this Wednesday boasts the first new comic book day for the month. I've been told the comics are extremely excited to be fondled by your grimy hands. One of which is so excited that I want to give it extra attention this week. What would book would I be referring to? That would be Stumptown #1 from Oni Press. Greg Rucka is joined by Matthew Southworth for Rucka's first creator-owned series since Queen and Country. The series follows Dex, not the Miami PD serial killer serial killer (I did mean to write that twice), but the proprietor of Stumptown Investigations. Being a talented P.I. will get you such positions. You would think that a talented P.I. such as Dex would have an eye for knowing when to walk away, but she doesn't. She owes the Confederated Tribes of the Wind Coast a cool 18 large, a debt that may be wiped away if Dex can find Sue-Lynne's (head of the casino) missing daughter. Of course, nothing is as it seems and things may get more dangerous for Dex before they get cheaper. The book is only $3.99 and new. So get on out and make sure it joins your weekly pile, already growing in your hands. Enjoy! New Arrivals: November 4, 2009
