Boston Comic-Con 2010

I'll be the first to admit that yes, in the past I've been critical of Boston Comic-Con. Well, maybe "critical" isn't the right word. It's just that the show has really been nothing more than a big room full of comics for sale...really no panels or events to speak of. It looks like the folks in the planning know are looking to remedy that and with the 2010 show they're moving locales and bringing in some big guns. April 10 and 11 will see the show at The Westin Boston Waterfront, which is double the size of it's current spot at the Back Bay Convention Center. The artist guest list is a work in progress, but here are some names you might be interested in: Jim Lee, Mike Mignola, Eric Powell, Jim Starlin, Bill Sienkiewicz, Gene Colan, Steve Rude, Michael Golden, Ben Templesmith, Skottie Young, Joe Jusko, Pat Broderick, Cameron Stewart, Joe Quinones, and Jim Mahfood. Yeah, not a bad list at all. Throw in a costume contest and speaker panels featuring Jim Lee, Mike Mignola, Eric Powell and I'm actually pretty optimistic about the show. Check out the full press release after the jump. Boston Comic Con (April 10-11, 2010) - SAVE THE DATE! SAVE THE DATE TRUE BELIEVERS! April 10-11, 2010 The BCC is Back Starring Jim Lee & Mike Mignola!
