Claudio Sanchez ends Armory Wars

If you've been reading Tom's reviews of Kill Audio (here and here then you know that Claudio Sanchez has one f'ed up imagination. Having said that (damn you Larry David), it shouldn't surprise you that Armory Wars: Second Stage Turbine Blade, Vol. 2 would be pretty insane. And Sanchez is just about to finish it up with a touch more insanity. "THE AMORY WARS is a science fiction story based on a family's quest to understand where it fits into the universe of Heaven's Fence," Sanchez said. "The second volume dives deeper into what the reader found out in the first volume--Coheed and Cambria were created for something bigger than your average mom and dad living in the suburbs. What really sets the story in motion is when they find out that this 'larger purpose' in the scheme of the universe isn't for the bettering of mankind, but to actually destroy it." The second volume explains the story behind Coheed & Cambria's second album Second Stage Turbine Blade. In it husband and wife Coheed and Cambria (hmm) learn that in the past they were intergalactic terrorists and their children are carrying on their legacy. Within this tale is a sub-tale called "33" by Sanchez and artist Dave Hamann that explains the tale of Armory War character Patrcik McCormick. The TPB will be available December 16 for $14.99 for all 128-pages of it. Full press release below.
