Preview - The Death-Defying Devil #1

I don't really need to start with a flowery intro about Alex Ross...his work really just speaks for itself. One of his latest works is for Dynamite Comics and is called The Death-Defying Devil #1. The only thing that would make the book even more special is having it signed by Ross himself. The story spins out of the events of Project Superpowers Chapter One and bridges the gap before the debut of Project Superpowers Chapter Two. The mysterious Devil has to track down the terrorist organization known at "The Claw." This one isn't run by Dr. Claw, however, and it's up to The Devil and Justine (sounds like a sitcom) to figure out what The Claw is up to. Of course, someone is tracking The Devil as well. Alex Ross and Joe Casey wrote the book and features pencils by Edgar Salazar. There are a slew of covers featuring works by Ross, John Cassaday, John Romita, Sr. and Edgar Salazar. All covers will be printed on high-end card stock paper (similar to Civil War and Secret Invasion) which is ultra-spiffy. Because this version is signed by Ross the asking price is a little bit higher. Namely $29.99. But imagine how nice a comic signed by Alex Ross would look amidst your collection. Of course, if you're the type of person that would pay $29.99 for an Alex Ross autograph you're probably also the type of person that already has a couple things signed by the man.
