Solicitation - Caliber: First Canon of Justice
I'm as big a fan of anachronistic stories as the next guy. I mean, I'm a sucker for cowboys in the Revolutionary War, or even Huns fighting alongside the English against the Spanish Armada. Radical Publishing is throwing a wrench into the Arthurian legend mix, where the knights of the Round Table (table be round!) ride in the Old Pacific Northwest.
Arthur is tasked with bringing law to the lawlessness of the region with Caliber, a mythical six-shooter forged from the metal of Excalibur (I see what you did there). With his running crew of knights, the posse help Arthur to fill has destiny as the Lawbringer in restoring justice to the land. The five-issue series has been re-released as a TPB called Caliber: First Canon of Justice and should be in stores soon. It's got some extras too.
Included with the 5 issue miniseries are character renderings and a cover gallery of works from Luis Royo, Tomm Coker, Dave Wilkins, Stanley “Artgerm” Lau, and more. The story is written by Sam Sarkar and features the art of Garrie Castonny (Imaginary Friends Studio colors while Annie Parkhouse letters). The 176-page full color TPB will be $14.95 and is apparently soon to be adapted as a major motion picture from Johnny Depp’s Infinitum Nihil production company.
