Scrooge McDuck is Back

I'm pretty sure that, like me, if you tried really, really hard you could sing the theme song to Ducktales. The theme song goes with the cartoon from way back in the day that focused on Donald Duck's nephews Huey, Dewey and Louie and their lives with their Uncle Scrooge. Digging into your memory and finding that song might make the release of The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck that much more enjoyable.

The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck Volume 1 collects the first six chapters of the series and is written and illustrated by Dan Rosa. These chapters are half of the chronicling of how Scrooge turned his "Number One Dime" into a fortune. BOOM! Kids editor Aaron Sparrow is positively gushing about the gilded nature of the hardcover.

“What Rosa did in retelling the earliest events of one of Disney’s most memorable characters was a triumph of storytelling and a tribute to our medium,” said BOOM Kids! editor Aaron Sparrow. “We’re proud to be able to get this book back into print, and in an edition that would make Scrooge McDuck himself envious!”

The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck Hardcover Volume 1 is available now, while the second volume is due later this week.
