Solicitation - Artifacts #1

I'm pretty sure at this point that Top Cow is awful close to being called Top Marz. Seriously, the man is everywhere, shepherding company staples such as Witchblade and Angelus through their Top Cow universe defining stories. This summer he'll be adding another book to the his resume with Artifacts #1, the self-proclaimed "event five years in the making."

Written by Marz and featuring art by Michael Broussard (covers by Top Cow's Finest, John Tyler Christopher and Dale Keown), Artifacts #1 plans to provide some backstory to Top Cow artifacts, thirteen in total and including those such as the Witchblade and the Darkness. There have been whispers that bringing the artifacts together will bring on some good old fashioned destruction of mankind. The story starts with the abduction of Hope, daughter of Sara Pezzini and Jackie Estacado, and plans to shake the Top Cow universe to its core.

The first issue is currently scheduled to ship July 21 for $3.99. There was a preview issue of sorts available on FCBD in Artifacts #0 and you can check out Tom's review of the issue here.
