New Arrivals: June 2, 2010
Hope everyone out there is enjoying the short week we have here. We certainly can't forget exactly why we have the short week as it was for Memorial Day, honoring veterans of wars past. The week does continue with new comics slated to hit stores this week for your reading pleasure. I'm not sure if the holiday will delay shipment of titles by a day, but let's just assume that it's Wednesday as usual. The pick this week is from Dark Horse Comics and revisits an old fan favorite: Serenity: Float Out #1.
The comic was actually written by Patton Oswalt and featuring art by Patric Reynolds (coloring by Dave Stewart and cover by Jo Chen). The one-shot comic focuses specifically on Wash, the ace pilot who always managed to get the crew out of sticky situations with his aerial maneuvers. The feature includes three new stories in a series of smuggling raids and even features a cameo that apparently Serenity fans will be keen on.
Enjoy!
