Defense with the BoomPick

With the long weekend for many now over it's time to look ahead and see what the rest of this week has to offer. No new comics tomorrow as unfortunately they're pushed back to Thursday with only a small amount of new ones coming out (even comic creators need to take some time off just like the rest of us). My pick for this week is coming from Marvel who's merging the world of mutants with vampires in X-Men #1.

X-Men #1 is in the Curse of the Mutant strain of comics that brings up the first Mutants versus Vampires. Something big is going down in San Francisco with Vampires from all over descending on the city and making it their home. For the X-Men this is something they can’t allow, but they find it tough to stop a suicide bomber who strikes in the heart of the city, setting off a struggle between the two sides. With no real clue to the Vampires' exact agenda or who leads them, the X-Men must find a way to get ready for something they've never faced before. The Marvel Universe better get itself prepared.
