Sex, Droids & Rock 'n Roll - Lady Robotika/Meltdown SDCC Party

If you can find between the maddening crowds, waiting in line for two hours to get seats in the panel you really want to see and the massive free canvas bags full of free schwag knocking you to and fro, Comic-Con also hosts some pretty sick parties. Meltdown Comics is having a shindig of their own that even has Lady Robotika making a special appearance.

On Monday, July 26, at Meltdown Comics in LA, the annual Comic-Con after party. The after party will double as the official launch party for the debut of Lady Robotika, the new series by Jane Wiedlin and Bill Morrison (penciled by Tone Rodriguez). Lady Robotika will take center stage at the event that will boast just about everybody under the sun (it is LA afterall). The three creators mentioned above will be on hand to autograph copies of Lady Robotika #1: Slaveship to the Stars.

The party is free and open to the public from 7 PM to 10 PM. Attendees are encouraged to dress in their favorite metallic and spacey regalia. Oh, and apparently C3POs are welcome (just don't let George Lucas see you as he's liable to sue). Yeah, I know that "technically" the party isn't in San Diego, but it is immediately after Comic-Con. And it's got lady robots!

Full details after the jump.
