Chris Evans as Captain America

Entertainment Weekly has the first look of Chris Evans as Captain America. What's really interesting is that Evans almost didn't take the role.

“At the time, I remember telling a buddy of mine, ‘If the movie bombs, I’m f—-ed. If the movie hits, I’m f—-ed!’ I was just scared. I realized my whole decision making process was fear based, and you never want to make a decision out of fear.’”

Evans, of course, then signed a six-picture deal with Marvel to play the Cap and is happy for doing so.

“I can’t believe I was almost too chicken to play Captain America.”

    Well, a quick look at the calendar for next year shows Transformers coming out July 1 and Harry Potter coming out July 15. My guess is they didn't want to be in the middle of that.
