Defense with the BoomStick

(Disclaimer: This post is set in a world where zombies have taken over and people live in small spots all over the world. It’s a weekly broadcast of news from around the globe and a tip to help survival.)

Days go by too quickly sometimes with fall hitting us in full force. Weather has been changing pretty dramatically recently, making the fight against zombies even tougher. On top of that this past week has seen another large herd of zombies come by our way and cause some trouble. Seems in this zombie world nobody ever catches a break anymore, but gotta find the good in there somewhere. Since I'm feeling a bit under the weather let's get to the task at hand.

News for today is mostly out of Oregon and the colonies there that are still holding out and making a go of it. Reports I've received state they are making headway in clearing large swaths of areas of zombies and building fortifications to increase protection. They're currently located in the northwest parts of the state with resources for more survivors to live there. A bit of bad news from that region is a report of the largest herd of zombies seen moving from San Diego up the coast, and by large I mean hundreds of thousands of zombies. If you are located in any of those parts advice is to either make a run for it or hunker down and keep out of sight until the herd passes.

Tip today is going to cover a few basic rules to live by in this zombie world, because you can’t survive in the zombie world living like it was before.

Wherever you are moving through or hunkering down being on the lookout for supplies is something you constantly need to do. Depending on where you are supplies could be in abundance or nonexistent and makes those times when supplies are aplenty to gather enough for future encounters. While on the move stealth is the law of the land to follow; if zombies don’t know you are there they won’t bother you. With that in mind have all your equipment tied down tight so as not to shake or jingle, giving away your position to any nearby zombies.

That’s what I got for today with more for next week. Remember to keep fighting and keep surviving.
