Defense with the BoomStick

(Disclaimer: This post is set in a world where zombies have taken over and people live in small spots all over the world. It’s a weekly broadcast of news from around the globe and a tip to help survival.)

We have been sabotaged. A few days back we had a group of survivors arrive seeking shelter, supplies and from their look we thought they were simple travelers. Now I've come to find out they were part of an advanced team that was sent into my compound to cause some chaos and breach the wall. This would let zombies in first to kill us and then let the rest of their group come in and take what they want. With that breach zombies came pouring in, trapping me and most of the people here in our main building while a few are trapped in some of the smaller buildings. The saboteurs were a group of five, with three killed by us or the zombies and the other two locked up.

I have lookouts up on top the roof to see if can locate the rest of their group. These type of bandits are always trying to steal instead of build and I guess we have gotten a little soft around here. What information we ahve been able to glean from the captured ones has offered up little on the size of their group, but do know they are holding up somewhere near by. It appears this group has been dong this sort of operation for quite a bit, hitting other groups like ours. I do know we don't plan on letting ours fall though.

I have to say I haven’t had an attack or breach of this magnitude ever before and needless to say it’s a test of one's will. Only big break we have caught so far is the zombies are contained to our main yard in front of the buildings and haven’t been able to spill into the back part where the gardens and animals are. If they manage to get back there I don’t know if we do manage to kill them all and repair the wall that we can survive here after that. At the moment I can’t say how many of my people are still alive as this attack has been going on for the past few hours and I don’t have contact to the other buildings yet.

No news or tip for this week as we are fighting for our survival here and hopefully will be here next week to broadcast. That’s all and pray….
