Green Lantern Movie Oa Concept Art

Green Lantern is kind of a big deal for Warner Bros. and DC. Beyond Batman, there really hasn't been a character that has taken off for DC in the movies and Green Lantern has the potential to be said character. Since the movie (releasing June 17, 2011) will focus on the origin of Green Lantern, it makes sense that Oa will play a role in the film. Warner Bros. has confirmed as much with the concept art seen above and after the jump. A brief synopsis of the film is as follows:

"In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan."
