King Con Brooklyn

Not to be confused with a convention boasting a multitude of Kings from Burger King, King Con Brooklyn is actually a rather spiffy independent comic show. In Brooklyn!

The show will be full of talent, including Dean Haspiel, Nick Abadzis, Rick Parker, Raina Telgemeier, Dave Roman, Becky Cloonan, Jennifer Hayden, Tim Hamilton, Simon Fraser, Mike Cavallaro, Colleen AF Venable, Powersmith,Shawn Atkinson and Carl (Cee-Kay) Kent, The Jelly Empire (Selina Briggs), Secret Acres, Steve Seck, Bill Roundy, NERD Comics, Kassondra Amada, Birdcage Bottom Books and Imaginary Monsters.

The show is this weekend (November 6 & 7) with special events happening November 4 & 5 as well. Single-day adult tickets are $7 a day, or a two-day pass for $10. Kids are $3 a day ($5 for a two-day ticket). The show is at the Brooklyn Lyceum and wouldn't be a show in Brooklyn without an appearance by Jonathan Ames, who will be doing a panel.
