Love him or hate him, Guy Ritchie has done one thing recently that most people will be in agreement about: making Sherlock Holmes relevant again. Sure, he's not really the Sherlock Holmes that most purists would agree with, but Robert Downey Jr.'s incarnation was pretty awesome in his own right. Success on the big screen is about to be translated (at least Dynamite hopes so) to the comic book pages.

Due in stores in January is Sherlock Holmes: Year One #1 by Scott Beatty and illustrated by Daniel Indro (covers by Franscesco Francavilla, Aaron Campbell and Daniel Lindro. In it, Sherlock Homes is joined by Dr. John Watson as the pair's destinies are shaped by a fateful encounter that boasts mysteries and murders.
