Be a Part of Mega Man Tribute

It's pretty crazy if you think about it, but Mega Man is about 23 years old. Old enough to drink and certainly old enough to be a badass with a hand cannon. Capcom and UDON Entertainment seek to commemorate his time in our collective memories with a brand new book and they need your help.

Mega Man Tribute is an art book that will celebrate Mega man and UDON wants help from all comic, video game and fan artists, as well as freelance illustrators. All you have to do is submit your best artwork featuring the cast of Mega Man, Mega Man X, Mega Man Zero, Mega Man ZX and Mega Man Legends (I swear I didn't make any of those up). All styles are welcome – anime, western comic style, cartoon, pixel-based, sculptures – whatever you can come up with as a tribute.

The best pieces will be included in the special 300-page limited edition hardcover that will go on sale at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con. Entries should be created at 8-1/2″ x 11″, 400 dpi or higher, (CMYK or RGB), portrait shape submitted as a JPEG no larger than 400 kb. The submission deadline is Monday, January 31 at 1 PM EST. Be sure that the work is from the Mega Man games though and not from any crazy Capcom crossover or characters created specifically for comics. You also can't create your own character either. Full press release after the jump.
