Preview - Warlord of Mars: Dejah Thoris #1

Warlords are funny beings. They're usually at the center of something pretty epic. Before they get to that point though there are others involved, such as Dejah Thoris. The appropriately named Warlord of Mars: Dejah Thoris #1 combines both aspects as Dejah Thoris's nation of Helium is divided into two warring city-states nearly 400 years before John Carter shows up.

The book is written by Arvid Nelson and illustrated by Carlos Rafael and boasts a slew of covers. Covers by the likes of Arthur Adams, Paul Renaud, Joe Jusko, Sean Chen, Ale, Garza, David Finch and Greg Land. The book is due in stores this month and interiors are after the jump (including some racy ones).
