Warren Ellis Strikes Deal with Mulholland Books

Mr. Warren Ellis, please forgive me for what I'm about to say, but you're a little unhinged. I mean that in the most sincerest form possible. Your work is phenomenal and certainly unconventional and you're definitely one of the best writers in the industry today. So congratulations to you sir, for you recent deal with Mulholland Books to write two new novels, the first of which will be titled Gun Machine.

Gun Machine focuses on New York City detective who stumbles upon a cache of hundreds of guns that each trace back to a wide array of seemingly unrelated unsolved murders. Editor John Schoenfelder will, well, edit. Schoenfelder said, “I have long admired Warren Ellis’ writing talent, as well as his promotional abilities. It is a thrill to be working with him on Gun Machine, a book that I believe will display his talents on a completely new level.”

Gun Machine is slated to be published in 2012. And, in the words of Mr. Ellis, read the full press release after the jump my strangelets.
