New Arrivals: May 18, 2011

It's the end of May and it's 50 and raining here in Boston. Certainly doesn't seem like May weather no? It does make Wednesday a slightly more exciting day, as the new comic aspect of it can cheer you up despite the weather. And honestly, what could make a rainy, new comic day much better than Vampirella.

Vampirella and the Scarlet Legion #1 is written by Joe Harris and illustrated by Jose Malaga (covers by J. Scott Campbell, Sean Chen and Billy Tucci. An ancient prophecy of doom is uncovered that seeks to resurrect the foulest demons from the pit. This tells Vampirella that she's not strong enough to take them on alone, cuing up The Scarlet Legion. You'll have to read the issue though to find out if The Scarlet Legion view Vampirella as someone worth allying with.
