Avengelyne #1 Gets New Cover


Angels bearing down upon you with a sword coming down with them requires you duck. If you can't quite envision that image to prepare yourself for just such a scenario, the above variant cover for Avengelyne #1 by Joe Benitez should be a good primer.

Rob Liefeld's 15-year-old creation is being brought back to relevance by writer Mark Poulton and artist Owen Gieni. The new creative team takes the redesigned superhero through the sin-filled streets of New York City. It's up to Avengelyne to stop NYC's newest serial killer, Torment, while the Red Dragon has chosen a new human host.
