Super Dinosaur #2 Reprinting
Super dinosaurs are nothing to scoff at. Sales of Super Dinosaur #2 by Robert Kirkman and Jason Howard are nothing to scoff at as well, which of course means the book is entering a second printing.
"A lot of times, people see 'all-ages' and think 'kids' book,' but the whole point of a good all-ages book is that it's geared toward readers of any age," said Image Comics Publisher Eric Stephenson. "People tend to forget that all the classic superhero comics of the Silver and Bronze Ages were essentially all-ages comics, and SUPER DINOSAUR is very much in that vein. Robert and Jason wanted to create thrilling adventure stories that their children could read, whilst still crafting something meaty enough for older readers."
Super Dinosaur #2 will be in stores June 29 for $2.99. It comes out the same day as-you guessed it- Super Dinosaur #3 AND the third printing of Super Dinosaur #1. At this rate, the super dinosaurs will freaking take over the world.
Full press release after the jump.
SUPER DINOSAUR HAS BITE
Super Dinosaur #2 Sells Out, Goes Back to Press
BERKELEY, CA -- 2 June 2011 -- The speedy sellout of SUPER DINOSAUR #1 was no fluke: The second issue of Robert Kirkman and Jason Howard's new all-ages superhero series has sold out at the distribution level and is heading back to press.
The second collaboration between the ASTOUNDING WOLF-MAN team of Kirkman and Howard, SUPER DINOSAUR is an action-packed all-ages romp created with younger readers in mind, but with more than enough bite to appeal to more seasoned fans.
"Jason and I are having a blast with SUPER DINOSAUR, and we couldn't be happier that readers are responding to it the way they are," added Kirkman. "We're getting lots of mail from younger readers -- lots of drawings and it feels really good to be doing something that has the potential to create a whole new generation of comic book fans."
The second printing of SUPER DINOSAUR #2 (APR118191), a 32-page color comic book priced at $2.99 is available for re-order now with an in-store date of June 29, coinciding with the release of the third printing of SUPER DINOSAUR #1 (MAR118293) and SUPER DINOSAUR #3 (APR110522).
