Defense with the BoomStick

(Disclaimer: This post is set in a world where zombies have taken over and people live in small spots all over the world. It was a weekly broadcast of news from around the globe and a tip to help survival, but now I have been bitten and partially cured now searching for a full vaccine.)

It's been a long time since a week was as productive as this past one was for this group I've aligned with.

Since deciding to stick around for a bit we were able to build up more defenses and wall in more land as well. I was surprised the amount we got walled in with only a week as there were a large number of zombies around the area. I have to say this was odd as I haven’t seen that number of zombies in one place in a good bit of time; figured they might actually be all dying out.

I guess this area of the US is still pretty active with zombies so any survivors in this region of Indiana should keep an extra watch.

One of the main reasons the walls we built this past week got up so quick was for using them as a good first layer before reinforcing them even more with wood, bricks and vehicles. Basically, anything that would strengthen and take a beating by a zombie or two.

So far I haven’t made any more headway on figuring out what makes a zombie tick or ways to kill them easier but I'm hoping to make some sort of advancement in that area with more research. When I get back on the road in the morning heading towards the northeast I'll get back to that and hope to work out this vaccine too.

This plan of getting to the government survivor area in the northeast might have to be sped up as I think the mixture of medicines I am taking to keep things working alright might not be as effective as before. I have been upping the dosage a little bit each time which seems to help to some extent, but I have to figure out something more long term.

My biggest fear in coming up with something permanent is that I will become another braindead zombie only interested in my next meal. I hope if that day comes someone will do what is right and put me out of my misery. One less zombie in the world is always a good thing in my book.

Until next week keep surviving. Up next Ohio.
