Bryan Talbot Has a New Book

Dark Horse is fond of original titles and nothing is more original than Dotter of Her Father's Eyes by Bryan Talbot.

The book boasts artwork by Talbot and words by Mary Talbot, PhD, an internationally acclaimed scholar and author. The book is part personal history and part biography in addition to all two coming-of-age narratives. One is of Lucia, the daughter of James Joyce, and the other is that of author Mary Talbot, daughter of the eminent Joycean scholar James S. Atherton.

Social expectations and gender politics, thwarted ambitions and personal tragedy are played out against two contrasting historical backgrounds, poignantly evoked by the atmospheric visual storytelling of award-winning graphic-novel pioneer Bryan Talbot.

Dotter of Her Father’s Eyes is on sale February 8, 2012. Full press release after the jump.
