With the end of August almost upon us (and that glorious thing that is football season right around the corner) it's a good a time as any to make sure you're aware of a throwback work. A throw back to the days of pulp covers and outlandish adventures framed as funny books. This week sees the release of Miss Masque Strikes Back Vol. 1 and it's a good bet you'll be at least slightly intrigued.

Featuring the talents of various writers and artists, Miss Masque Strikes Back Vol. 1 celebrates the character's beginnings at Standard/Nedor in the 1940s through her contemporary adventures at AC. Included in the collection are three new, never-before-seen feature-length adventures, including 'The Head of Hitler', 'Funny Face of Death' and other rare Golden Age reprints.

The book weighs in at 96 pages for its $19.95 price tag.
