Aspen Makes Big Announcements at NYCC 2011

It wouldn't be a show without some big announcements by some great publishers and Aspen Comics didn't disappoint.

The publisher has announced three new series launching this winter. Dead Man's Run by Greg Pak and Tony Parker, Haunted City by Chap Taylor, Peter Johnson and Michael Ryan and Broken Pieces by Mark Roslan and Micah Kaneshiro. The latter two aren't "launching" this winter per se as the first issues have already hit stores, but there's still more to come from those books.

In February 2012, Aspen will be bringing back their popular Shrugged series for a second volume, created and written by Frank Mastromauro. March 2012 sees the return of Fathom’s popular heroine in Fathom: Kiani Volume 2, with story by the first volume’s Vince Hernandez and art by Oliver Nome and John Starr.

Aspen will be releasing an all new series, Idolized, their first take on the superhero genre, created and written by David Schwartz with art by Micah Gunnell and David Curiel. Aspen’s summer will see include another crossover event, this time centered on their premiere title, Michael Turner’s Soulfire, entitled “The Search for the Light”.

Aspen's summer will continue with an all new series created by David Wohl, Brad Foxhoven and Michael Turner called Homecoming, written by Scott Lobdell, as well as releasing their first-ever ongoing series in Executive Assistant: Assassins, written by Vince Hernandez.

Aspen has even more digital releases planned for 2012 including Fathom: Volume 3, Soulfire: Volume 2, Lady Mechanika, Soulfire: Shadow Magic, Mindfield, The Scourge and Executive Assistant crossover event: “The Hit List Agenda”.
