D.O.G.S. of Mars #4 Released

Honestly, I don't know if there are dogs on Mars. I don't know if anything's on Mars for that matter. What I do know is that South Fellini Productions has a vision of dogs on Mars, only not in the four-legged sense.

D.O.G.S. of Mars #4 is the latest in the space horror series, pitting Zoe, the swashbuckling captain of Earth's first martian colony, against mutiny, death and dishonor.

“We take you to the edge of the future and find that people haven’t changed all that much. Things go ‘Lord of the Flies’ pretty quickly and these characters discover who their friends and enemies really are,” says Tony Trov.

The work features the art of Paul Maybury and co-writer Johnny Zito is fine with that. He comments, “Paul Maybury is doing a sick job on the art. The designs are very industrial with splashes of steampunk and Japanese gore splattered about. His vision of the monster is a grotesque, alien twist on a classic.”

The title is available on Comixology and is written by Tony Trov, Zito and Christian Weiser, illustrations by Maybury and covers by Rhazzah.

Full press release and interiors after the jump.

This week, South Fellini’s D.O.G.S. of Mars issue #4 will be released on Comixology, available for download online, the iPad and other Apple devices, and the Droid.

In the space horror series, Zoe is the swashbuckling captain of Earth’s first Martian colony. Isolated on the farthest frontier of civilization, order breaks down when unfamiliar hostiles invade. Zoe faces mutiny, death and dishonor; she must sacrifice her humanity if she hopes to survive.

“We take you to the edge of the future and find that people haven’t changed all that much. Things go ‘Lord of the Flies’ pretty quickly and these characters discover who their friends and enemies really are,” says Tony Trov.

The unique art style of Paul Maybury helps bring the story to life. Johnny Zito comments, “Paul Maybury is doing a sick job on the art. The designs are very industrial with splashes of steampunk and Japanese gore splattered about. His vision of the monster is a grotesque, alien twist on a classic.”
