Peter Panzerfaust Makes a Grand Entrance
In an effort to settle the age-old debate of what would happen if you gave Peter Pan a tank and how it would impact his rivalry with Captain Hook (and Rufio for that matter), Image Comics and Shadowline are set to release a comic that attempts to settle said debate. Ok, Peter Panzerfaust isn't quite as simple as driving a tank towards the second star on the right and straight on till morning, but it's got high energy!
Written by Kurtis Wiebe and illustrated by Tyler Jenkins, Peter Panzerfaust is a new ongoing series set in the city of Calais, the first city in France to fall to the Germans in 1940. A mysterious American boy named Peter is on hand to rally a group of orphans in an effort to survive Europe's darkest hour.
"Peter Panzerfaust is a story Tyler and I have been wanting to tell for years," explained Wiebe. " It's an action series set during World War II that blends in a fresh take on the Peter Pan mythology. There's a real rich setting we've developed in this series and I'm thrilled to share it with everyone."
Readers of Morning Glories (or, more specifically, Morning Glories #14) will get a sneak peak at the new work with the first five pages handily inserted within.
"We are basically creating a book here that is a 200 proof concoction of our interests and loves," added Jenkins. "World War II, brave heroes, mystery, romance...ADVENTURE in the old-school, old-fashioned, turn of the century, sense of the word."
Peter Panzerfaust #1 will hit stores February 15 for $3.50. Full press release after the jump.
