It's hard to argue with the awesomeness that are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, so of course I'm inclined to lean towards any comic featuring them. Not as inclined if it's any turtle besides Donatello, but inclined nonetheless. Hitting stores tomorrow is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro Series #1 Raphael, written by Brian Lynch and illustrated by Franco Urru, with covers by Urru and the always sensational David Peterson.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro Series #1 Raphael is the first of four standalone tales centering on each Turtle. Raphael has always had that uncertainty and outside feeling, which somehow changes when he finds another mutant, the arctic fox Alopex. Alopex may have a clue to the Turtles' origin, but she's a little busy being hunted to help him out.

Judging by the cover alone (and it's dangerous to judge a book by its cover), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Micro Series #1 Raphael could be the start of a fantastic four-issue series. Just make sure you wipe your hands of the pizza grease before turning the pages.

Enjoy!
