Defense With The BoomStick

(Disclaimer: This post is an ongoing story set in a world where zombies have taken over and people are fighting to survive anyway they can. Originally it was a post of news and tips to help survivors make it one more day alive, but now it has became a story of my fight after being bitten and partially cured to walk as a half-zombie among them.)

I think something bad went down here. From the looks of the area and building I see signs of combat and carnage, but no bodies. Plenty of bulletholes, blood and spent casings all over the place--even a blast crater or two showing some big explosives were used.

Just no bodies.

Could zombies have gotten on this side of the wall? I'm not sure how it could have happened though as they seemed pretty secure in that regard. The other thing I don’t get is with the bodies they must have just burned them all, but I don’t see any pyre remains or spots cleared to process the amount of the dead.

Those radioactive zombies are smart, I'll give them that. It's quite possible they figured out a way over the wall or made it through one of the gates when they were letting survivors in. Until I can actually find a living person to fill me in I'm as lost as you are with information.

I haven’t been able to get anything on the radio or broadcasts to fill me in on current events. All this blood in the air has my zombie side going. I ran out of the medicine I was taking to keep it in check a few days ago. I'm glad to be on my own now as would be hard pressed to keep the zombie part in check around survivors.

I'm going to keep going north, but I think if it gets to the point of not running into anybody over the next few days I'll turn west. Figuring they must have people posted along the wall to keep an eye out and with that amount of people located there housing and supplies are going to be needed.

Just hope I can come across some pharmacies to raid or houses that would have supplies I can use to get the zombie side back under check. Beyond this combat area I found it's been a real quiet week. I'm hoping this holds out in addition to the weather staying sunny and no rain. Gonna need all the help I can get. Time to forge on till next week…
