Defense With The BoomStick

(Disclaimer: This post is an ongoing story set in a world where zombies have taken over and people are fighting to survive anyway they can. Originally it was a post of news and tips to help survivors make it one more day alive, but now it has became a story of my fight after being bitten and partially cured to walk as a half-zombie among them.)

I just walked into a new hell. You know all those survivors and government camps I was looking for? Well I found them.

In a manner of speaking.

I found a war zone.

The bit of information I've gotten from some survivors that were fleeing was the wall was breached last weekend. It's taken this past week for the zombies and radioactive zombies to track down where the survivor camps are. It seems they're better at tracking and finding living people then I can. I heard the noise and headed towards it and bam popped out of the woods into a running firefight. I was lucky as hell I didn’t catch one of the stray bullets whizzing around.

I Ran for cover and have been doing that now for the past eight hours, running and gunning between zombies and other survivors. As the government forces have pulled back and left survivors on their own, they are shooting anybody who they don’t know (like me). I've run into a few packs of survivors who are looking out for themselves and tried to take me out. I was forced to wound or kill some of them so I could get away.

Now I find myself holed up in this old library on the roof watching the mayhem go on down below in the streets. This is craziness I have to say.

When I thought I was finally gonna catch a break and get a chance to settle all hell breaks loose and now I'm on the run again. I honestly don’t know if I'm going to make it out of this one, with the amount of zombies and bullets flying I'm kind of counting on a miracle here. I did see on a map they have a vehicle depot maybe ten miles from the spot I'm at.

I figure that will be my next destination. With the amount of people dying there has to be some cars or something I can use.

Here goes nothing…
