Persona 3: Official Design Works in Stores June 20

Shigenori Soejima's artwork is, in a word, haunting. It's downright creepy even. He's used it to great effect in Persona 3 and now it's getting the collection treatment courtesy of UDON Entertainment in Persona 3: Official Design Works.

The 144-page art and design compendium collects rough sketches, final production artwork, early game designs, CG works, storyboards, character designs, backgrounds and a ton more. Soejimi has even added commentary to more than half the book, digging into his creative process, his feelings on his work, and even his feelings on the characters themselves. All of his comments have been faithfully translated by UDON’s production team—including a huge 8,000-word interview—leading to a book that will likely require multiple readings.

Persona 3: Official Design Works also features additional silver ink accenting on every page. UDON has chosen a special pearlescent paper and foil stamping for the cover and utilized a special printing process to make the whole image pop. The 8.25" x 11.75" softcover will set you back $39.99 when it hits stores June 26.
