Hawken Invites You to Pilot a Mech

Are you ready to start piloting mechs, dealing with others in your path? Decimating decayed cities while fighting through buildings to find your target? And to top it all off, what if you could do that for free with no risk of actually being destroyed by an errant missile? Good news everybody! Hawken is entering the open Beta phase on 12/12/12.

“It’s been a long road and I’m getting the jitter bug as we are getting near our Open Beta Event. Everyone on the team is putting in the extra effort to make the HAWKEN experience as fun as possible,” says Khang Le, Co-‐founder and Creative Director at Adhesive Games. Le encourages gamers to register for HAWKEN, “So test drive a HAWKEN mech starting 12.12.12! We would love to hear how to improve your experience, so don’t forget to join our forum and share your thoughts!”

Players can register for the free‐to‐play mech shooter at www.playhawken.com and join in the battle immediately. Meteor Entertainment is happy to announce that Open Beta will be accessible worldwide except in China where Kong Zhong is publishing the game, coming soon.

Co‐founder and Lead Animator at Adhesive Games, Chris Lalli, explains, “Open Beta is our chance to implement all the good feedback we’ve gotten from closed beta players on the forums, and deliver the changes the community wants to see. We have so much more to add to HAWKEN, lots of features, balance changes, and improvements.” Lalli adds, “The Open Beta Event allows us flexibility to roll out these updates in waves, and get instant player feedback that will influence the final version of the game. The community will really have the ability to shape the game and be part of its development.”

CEO Mark Long of Meteor Entertainment adds, “We're psyched to get to Open Beta and bring HAWKEN to the global community of players, improving the game through their feedback and gameplay experiences. It's going to be fun to watch HAWKEN evolve with the global community."
