ComixTribe Publishing And Then Emily Was Gone
ComixTribe continues to delve into publishing great books that people may not necessarily have known to be on the lookout for. Their most recent work Scam has met critical acclaim and other books like Epic and The Red Ten have garnered attention as well. Now, the publisher is slated to bring to stores the 5-issue horror mystery series by John Lees and Iain Laurie.
"We're obviously already all in on John Lees," said ComixTribe publisher Tyler James. "John's work on THE STANDARD and the upcoming OXYMORON: Loveliest Nightmare series has been tremendous. But, I really think EMILY is going to be his calling card. Likewise, Iain Laurie's unique artistic vision complements John's creepy script like a fine wine...at least, I think its wine. It's red."
And Then Emily Was Gone tells the story of a haunted former police detective who goes in search of a missing girl, and finds Hell instead. The first issue will make its direct market debut later this summer, with subsequent issues releasing monthly, a first for ComixTribe. The direct market release will enjoy a full-color treatment by Megan Wilson, and boast covers from Riley Rossmo, Nick Pitarra, Joe Mulvey and Garry Brown.
"I'm thrilled that there’s a space for AND THEN EMILY WAS GONE in ComixTribe’s growing roster of quality titles," said Lees. "I'm excited to expand our partnership, and bring EMILY to the direct market."
