Dynamite Expands High End Art Book and Hardcover Collections


Archives of comics need renewed attention every now and again. It's always welcome to take a trip down memory lane with some of your favorite properties and it's even better those properties are revisited in fantastic hardcovers that also look good on your bookshelf. Dynamite Entertainment has two new hardcovers on tap that will look great amidst the rest of your books in Doc Savage Archives Vol. 1: The Curtis Magazine Era and The Art of Vampirella: The Dynamite Years.

Fans of Doc Savage will be pleased to read that in addition to the Doc Savage ongoing series, Dynamite Entertainment is presenting a hardcover collection of classic Doc Savage adventures in August. The Doc Savage Archives Vol. 1: The Curtis Magazine Era Hardcover revisits the classic Curtis magazine issues 1 through 8 and relives the glory days of the Man of Bronze. In Doc Savage Archives Vol. 1: The Curtis Magazine Era Hardcover, the Man of Bronze is back with a vengeance. In this brand new archival edition, the harrowing adventures of Doc Savage return straight from the 1970's-fully remastered and ready for action. With art done by John Buscema, Tony DeZuniga and Ernie Chan to accompany writer Doug Moench, this book is a must have for any and all fans of Doc Savage and his Amazing Five.

In addition to the fact that Dynamite's various Vampirella series have had great stories within, the covers have also been out of this world. So for the first time ever, the publisher is collecting all of the various cover art of Vampirella in one prestige hardcover volume that will be released this coming August. In The Art of Vampirella: The Dynamite Years Hardcover, this must have art edition showcases the work of all the fantastic artists who have put pen to paper for the Drakulonian beauty. It includes covers by: J. Scott Campbell, Alex Ross, Paul Renaud, Alé Garza, Joe Jusko, Lucio Parrillo, Fabiano Neves, Rodolfo Migliari, Johnny Desjardins and many more. Since the 1970's, Vampirella has been known as the good-hearted bad girl of vampire lore. Brought back to life once again by the creative minds at Dynamite, she's graced cover after cover with her piercing stare and iconic red outfit.
