Suicide Risk Gets Special Issue from Filipe Andrade

Suicide Risk #14

BOOM! Studios is big on tapping into all manner of talent, from Ed Brisson to Jim Rugg for instance. They've even had great luck with artists such as Joëlle Jones and Jorge Coehlo for Suicide Risk. This June, that property gets a little more infusion of roaming talent as Filipe Andrade joins their ranks. He'll be teaming up with writer Mike Carey on a special stand-alone issue of Suicide Risk. In issue #14, the tension is building, and with Leo Winters’ true past revealed, it’s time to explore the origins of two of his closest, most fearsome allies: sisters Diva and Aisa!

“Filipe is one of those artists who has broken the mold, creating a unique, super-stylized look that explodes off the page,” said BOOM! Studios Editor-in-Chief Matt Gagnon. “We’re thrilled to have him draw a stand-alone story in SUICIDE RISK and help us broaden the mythology of Mike’s epic tale.”

Suicide Risk is an ongoing series about a world in which humanity is being overrun by a rise in the number of supervillains, and beat cops like Leo Winters are powerless to stop them. The only way he can get out from becoming a “suicide risk” is to change the rules of the game. Suicide Risk #14 goes on sale in comic shops on June 4th under Diamond Order Code APR140978 with a cover by Stephanie Hans for a price of $3.99.
