Image Comics Teams with Multiversity for Third Annual NYCC Party

When you're packing up to head to NYCC 2014, there are a few things you can't forget. T-shirts with any and all manner of witty geek/nerd/pop culture references. Deodorant, hand sanitizer and cough drops. And party attire. They each have their specific uses, but you'll find the party attire especially useful on Friday, October 10th, when you attend the Image Comics/Multiversity Third Annual NYCC Party. And like any good party, this one raises money for a worthy cause in The Hero Initiative. The Hero Initiative is a charity that raises money to help support creators in need and gives to those who have helped foster, develop and pioneer the medium we all love so much. At last year’s event, Image Comics and Multiversity raised over $5,000 for the charity thanks to the many fans who came out and attended.

This year's NYCC Party will be held at the Stitch Bar & Lounge located at 247 West 37th Street (a short 3-block walk from the Javits Center straight up 37th street) from 8 PM to close, with a $10 donation to the Hero Initiative to get in. In exchange for your donation, you will automatically be entered into a raffle to win one (1) copy of all of Image’s exclusives for NYCC 2014! It’s a 21+ event with all night happy hour and drink specials, and will assuredly be a fun place for friends, fans and creators to meet, share a drink and mingle.

The party will also feature quite a few special Image Comics creators as guests, such as Brian K. Vaughan, Kieron Gillen, Jamie McKelvie, Scott Snyder, Sean Gordon Murphy, Nick Dragotta, Joshua Williamson, Tim Seeley, Declan Shalvey, Frank Barbiere, Ed Brisson, Daniel Corey, Wes Craig, Otis Frampton, Joe Harris, Kyle Higgins, Antony Johnston, Justin Jordan, Ales Kot, Megan Levens, Adam McGovern, Brandon Montclare, Michael Moreci, Steve Orlando, Amy Reeder, Fabrice Sapolsky, Gus Storms, Roc Upchurch, Fred Van Lente and Jim Zub.
