Welcome Back #1 Resurrected a Third Time

BOOM! Studios may be cutting back on original titles in 2016, but that doesn't mean they're done in 2015. In fact, one of those titles--Welcome Back #1 has been so popular that BOOM! is taking it back to press for a third printing. It's the latest success for a series that was recently extended from a limited series to an open-ended ongoing series. Welcome Back #1 third printing ships with a new cover by artist Claire Roe, who illustrated several pages in issue #2 and is taking over interior art duties for Jonathan Brandon Sawyer as of issue #3.

In Welcome Back #1, Christopher Sebela and Jonathan Brandon Sawyer explore the lives of reincarnated assassins. Mali and Tessa have lived hundreds of different lives throughout time, caught up in an eternal cycle as they take part in a war so old that neither side remembers what they’re fighting for anymore. As Mali wakes up in her newest life, she suddenly becomes self-aware and starts to question everything, especially why she continues to fight. But elsewhere, Tessa is already on the hunt...

Welcome Back #1 third printing carries a retail price of $3.99 under Diamond Code SEP158872. Orders for the issue close on November 16 and is anticipated to be in stores on December 2. Comic book fans should bear in mind that first and second printings of Welcome Back #1 may still be found at the local comic shop nearest you. Full press release below.
